The Bamboo Snug

Posted by David Moore on

Several weeks ago one of our faithful customers reached out to us about producing a 'snood or neck buff' style garment in the beautifully soft bamboo fabric, something that could also be worn as a face covering, foregoing the need for irritating, uncomfortable ear loops & which would be convenient when popping into a shop, post office or venturing onto public transport.

We loved the idea and to be absolutely honest, we were already halfway there since some of our machinists had made their own, for those chilly early morning starts.

Naturally the idea, (or should I say garment), had to be refined somewhat, patterns were made, a sprinkle of science employed & a small test production run was actioned, so that all our colleagues could first try them out. I don't think anyone has taken their's off since!

This is a text book case of not seeing the wood for the trees, or more accurately, 'the bamboo for the grass', I know we've been busy but on this occasion it took someone else to open our eyes.

This epitomises one of the great benefits of small flexible local manufacturing businesses & having wonderful loyal customers, happy to give their time & offer truly great suggestions for the benefit of all.

We're just delighted to introduce it today & really hope you love it as much as we do!
